From Intern to Analyst: Perry Worden Joins the Bridgepoint Team
Omaha, NE – Bridgepoint Investment Banking, a leading boutique impact investment banking firm, is excited to announce our newest team member.
Perry Worden joins the Bridgepoint team full-time as an Investment Banking Analyst after sharing his talents with our team for approximately a year and a half as an intern.
A native of the Kansas City area, Perry is passionate about the Midwest region and the middle market businesses which form the backbone of its communities. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking big meals, and is a self-proclaimed bourbon connoisseur. Perry recently graduated from Creighton University in May 2021 with a BSBA in Finance – Financial Analysis where he was involved in numerous research projects and organizations.
In addition to his prior internship at Bridgepoint, Perry’s participation in several organizations and relevant coursework have prepared him for his new role as an Analyst. His experience and accolades include:
- Co-Founder, Vice President – Creighton Investment Banking Society
- Dean’s List (Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021)
- Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Responsibility
- Gail Werner-Robertson Research Fellows in the Institute for Economic Inquiry (Economic Development on Indigenous Lands)
- Winner of the 2021 Creighton University Research Week Award “Best Platform Presentation – Humanities”
- Menard Family Business Research Fellow in the Institute for Economic Inquiry
- Encounter Retreat Coordinator with Creighton Campus Ministry
Perry’s favorite parts of his internship at Bridgepoint included the ability to work hands-on in multiple sell-side and capital raising transactions, interacting with clients and developing professional skills by working among the bullpen, Managing Directors and Bridgepoint’s leadership, Matt & Natasha Plooster. He emphasized the value of learning about the deal-making process and the importance of doing right by the client 100% of the time through honesty and integrity. His commitment to Bridgepoint’s core values has made Perry an integral member of the Bridgepoint team.
“I have found the deal-making process and our ability to positively impact the lives of our clients to be very rewarding and exciting experiences. Working in investment banking allows me to expand on each of the skills I have developed and challenges me to think critically, develop a more tenacious work ethic, and take ownership in each of our transactions. Bridgepoint has provided me a platform to grow in this industry and I’m excited for the plethora of experiences I will have as an Analyst with future transactions and organizational growth,” Perry commented.
His advice to future Bridgepoint interns:
“I would tell future Bridgepoint interns the exact thing I have told other interns that have been a successor to me, and that is to be a sponge and to be tenacious. It is important that Bridgepoint interns soak up each of their experiences in order to learn how to fit in with our culture and become a better investment banking professional. Although there might be some late nights, the rewards from working hard and growing as a professional will stick with you for a lifetime.”
We look forward to helping Perry achieve his career goals at Bridgepoint: aid in our growth in new markets, become more knowledgeable about the sectors we serve and the leveraged finance and M&A advisory services we provide and positively impact the community through the giving of time, talent and treasure.
