Objectives:

Bridgepoint was selected by our client as its exclusive investment bank based on deep capital markets connections, as well as our leading middle market leveraged finance and debt syndication capabilities. The client, despite building a highly valuable and successful multi-generation family-owned company, was not able to meet near-term amortization requirements, could not get any more debt from its commercial bank and wanted to eliminate his personal guarantee. The client, who operates in a highly cyclical and capital-intensive industry, also wanted to finance growth and gain a capital partner who could allow the company to win market share as the cycle rebounded

Results:

Bridgepoint utilized its broad capital markets relationships to generate 10+ term sheets for up to $75 million of financing, based upon an RFP for $40 million we originally put out. The client’s prior bank was tapped out at $5 million, and that loan was fully personally guaranteed. In addition to meeting all of our client’s near-term cash flow needs, we eliminated his personal guaranteed, financed all of his growth and capex for >5 years, brought him options to take a non-recourse dividend, and eliminated his covenants and all amortization. Bridgepoint delivered solutions previously unavailable and unknown to this ~$150 million private company.
